As the Managing Director of Signal Tree Tax Services, Laurie oversees the firm’s tax team and serves as a primary advisor for clients. With over 30 years of experience in public accounting and leadership, Laurie brings a unique “Personal CFO” perspective to every engagement.
Prior to joining Signal Tree, Laurie was the Founder and President of HHL Group, Inc., a successful Medina-based accounting firm she led for over two decades. Her deep technical background includes tax planning and compliance, financial reporting, merger and acquisition analysis, and representation before taxing authorities. Laurie is skilled at accounting system design and financial forecasting—tools she uses to help business owners and families gain clarity and confidence in their plans.
A dedicated advocate for the Medina community, Laurie’s leadership is reflected in her extensive board service. She has served as Treasurer and Board Member for organizations including the Medina County Port Authority, Leadership Medina County, Medina General Hospital Foundation, and the Medina County SPCA. Her commitment to local growth also includes past roles with Project Learn and the Medina County Arts Foundation.
A resident of Medina, Laurie is a proponent of holistic wellness and fitness. When she is outside of work, she enjoys traveling the world, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
